Katy Trail Ice House is one of our (and everyone's) favorite spots in Dallas whether day or night. Summer beer is our favorite drink paired with jalapeño poppers! There will be fires, heat lamps, and blankets available if cold during your visit.
Once an abandoned railroad line is now one of the most iconic destinations in Dallas. Walk or run on 3.5 miles of well-maintained path through the city with parks and ponds that you can access along the way. Easiest way to access is parking as close to Katy Trail Ice House as you can. Then you can walk southwest towards the city/American Airlines center OR northeast for a more scenic route making you forget you are in the city.
Plush, Victorian-style watering hole in a vintage house serving craft cocktails & a meat-heavy menu. The bar is a historic landmark dating back to the 1880s! Drink of choice here is the Grassy Knoll. Not on the menu, but it is our favorite!
The best Mexican in uptown! Everything on the menu is amazing. One block away from Bowen House (also listed), which is owned by the brother of the Las Palmas' owner. So start with a drink at Bowen and then head to Las Palmas OR hop over to Bowen after dinner!

Klyde Warren Park is a highly active space, providing daily free programming for the public ranging from yoga, to book signings, to outdoor concerts and films. The park is privately operated and managed by the Woodall Rodgers Park Foundation. Connectivity was an important consideration when Klyde Warren Park was built, connecting the emerging Uptown with the historic Downtown - making sure a park connected the two where a highway used to divide.

Located in the nation’s largest arts district, the DMA is a catalyst for community creativity, engaging people of all ages and backgrounds with a diverse spectrum of programming, from exhibitions and lectures, to concerts, literary events, and dramatic performances.
