We're getting married!!

We met years ago through a mutual friend at our old church. I used to sing on the praise team for our youth group and he used to watch lol but he never approached me. We started off as friends (in my mind lol). In his mind, he was trying to make me his girl. And he did! One day, something came up and I told him I was single and I could do what I wanted. He refused to accept that and said "No you not!" We've been inseparable ever since. We've seen and been there for each other through it all - school, careers, childbirth, life, and death. We are travel partners, dance partners, fete partners, movie buddies, Marvel buddies, roller coaster partners, competitive gamers, and foodie sidekicks! We have perfected our good cop, bad cop routine with our amazing son, Jahari. We pray together, parent together, show up together, and serve each other because we both deserve it! We belong to each other! Rodney is my person and I am his. We have each other and we have our handsome son, Jahari. Now it's time for us to become one before God and our family.

Petina was born in Miami on November 1990. Her father is Gary and her mother is Glassome. She has one sibling - her older brother, Kareem. Her parents remarried and she has a step mother, Evelyn, and her step father, who is more like another father, PJ. Anyone who really knows Petina, knows that her mother is her most favorite girl in the world! Petina attended the same church for 28 years where she met Rodney. She ministered at this church through dance, song, visual media, nursery, kids department, and the youth department. She attended local schools across Miami, Florida from South Beach to Miami Gardens. She graduated from Krop in 2009 where she met 2 of her best and closest friends that are in the bridal party. She sang in choir and participated in athletic training all four years. She then attended Broward College to meet another lifelong friend; this is where she received her Bachelor's in ESE Education and later on received her Master's in Curriculum and Instruction at Barry University. She taught elementary students from 2013-2021 in Miami, became a Managing Director at a local tutoring center, and then went on to pursue private tutoring after purchasing a house with Rodney in Palm Beach, Florida in 2022. Today, Petina is a lover of Jesus and is focused on maintaining spiritual, physical, financial, and mental health. She is focused on being the best soon-to-be wife to Rodney and mother to Jahari. She can't wait to marry the love of her life in December and to carry the Zephir last name and legacy!

Rodney was born in Miami, Florida to David and Marie on July 1991. He has one younger sibling - his sister, Tamisha aka Tasha/Tami. Rodney attended a few local churches in the Miami area and later on went to the church where he met Petina, the love of his life! Rodney also attended local schools across Miami from South Miami to North Miami. He graduated from North Miami in 2009. He then attended Lyndsey Hopkins in 2012. This is where he became skilled in the electrical trade. He later decided he wanted to become a fire fighter and attended the Miami Dade Fire Academy and was top of his class. Due to covid and vaccine restrictions, those plans were deterred but this is where he doubled down in his electrical career and became certified as a journeyman electrician, working for a reputable electrical company as well as running his business part time. He also became a traveling electrician and will travel to you! (Shameless plug for my man lol). Rodney takes the role of fatherhood very seriously and is an amazing father to Jahari. His focus right now is being the best husband-to-be to Petina, his family, and providing for them spiritually, mentally, physically, and financially. He can't wait to marry his beautiful bride-to-be and give her the gift that is his last name for the rest of their lives together.
