Duane and Antoinette met during summer camp in 1996 at Martin Luther King Elementary school. Key word is “met”. Duane didn't actually attend King but…SOMEHOW…. found a way there to stare at Antoinette all summer lol. Antoinette became Duane's "girlfriend" but that ended fast! During the bus ride home at the end of summer camp, Antoinette got sick. Apparently that was a buzz kill after a marvelous day at Michigan adventures. Lol! As time passed and the years went by, the changes of life ensued. During seasons of individual growth and spiritual alignment, Duane and Antoinette were able to reconnect during a time when they were relearning themselves. Some may call it “luck”. They call it destiny. What is Antoinette to Duane? His guide when he lacks vision, his stress reliever, his anchor and woman. What’s Duane to Antoinette? Her calm, her voice of reason, her partner, her her lover, best friend, boo thang and Hunnidip!! On January 8, 2021, Duane put together a surprise (but not so surprised) party for Antoinette’s 35th birthday. Although she had somewhat of an idea about the party, she had no clue that Duane would be proposing in front of all of the people they loved.
