Out of respect for Our Lord and the Sacrament of Marriage, we ask guests to dress in modest and appropriate attire. Gentlemen, we request pants (no shorts). Ladies, we request long dresses or pants (no shorts or short cut dresses).
Only baptized Catholics in the state of grace may receive Holy Communion. Protestants, other non-Catholics, and non-practicing Catholics may not receive Holy Communion. A Catholic is not in the state of grace if that person has committed a mortal sin without confessing the sin. A mortal sin is any sin whose matter is grave and which has which has been committed willfully and with knowledge of its seriousness. Grave matter includes, but is not limited to, murder, divorce, willfully entertaining impure thoughts, contraception, not attending Mass on Sundays and Holy days of Obligation, participating in an abortion, affiliation with occult organizations, homosexual acts, fornication, and using the Lord's name in vain. If you are not receiving Holy Communion, you may remain seated in your pew or approach the priest with your arms crossed across your chest for a blessing.
