I (Blair) was traveling to the wedding from New York City where I lived at the time and Tyler was coming from Ogallala, Nebraska. If you are reading this, you likely know that those two places are very different. I was actually born in Nebraska and before I went to the wedding that weekend, my Dad told me that I should try to meet a ‘Good Nebraska Boy.’ Regan had actually texted some of us before the weekend letting us know that there would be single guys there, but I had heard that promise before… We were both at the welcome party but didn't give each other the time of day. I was with my friends and he was doing the normal groomsmen things. The wedding and reception came and went and we may have crossed paths a few times on the dancefloor but it wasn't like there were instant sparks. We all made our way to downtown Hot Springs after the reception and I guess you could say sparks flew at the Copper Penny where everyone ended the night. We started talking at the bar and have talked every day since. This wedding weekend was unique because the following day, I was planning to go out on the lake with my friends because we were off that Monday. Shoutout to Caroline and Jordan! A big lake guy himself, Tyler left his friends and somehow found his way out on the water with us for the afternoon with very little worry about his evening flight out of Little Rock. Hours later and a meetup with the newlyweds, we joked that Tyler would one day live in Arkansas with all of us. Following a full lake day and several failed attempts to convince him to cancel his flight, we dropped him off back in town with his friends who were still confused about where he was all day. When he left, I had little confidence that I would ever see him again. Cherry on top of this was that his phone was dead so he gave me his number and I had to be the one that texted him first! That was the first text of many and after several text and phone conversations, I finally made the trip to Nebraska to visit him at what we call the Little House on the Prairie AKA his bachelor pad. While the New Yorker in me was a tad shell shocked at first, we now joke about how much we wish we could buy that little ole house because it's where we started our relationship and it holds some of our most special memories to date. Maybe one day! After lots of back and forth between New York and Nebraska, we knew we were ready to meet somewhere in the middle and we landed on Little Rock. For those that live outside of Little Rock, we are so excited to host you here for the weekend. We are so appreciative of everyone in our life and our biggest desire is to have our wedding feel like the best celebration alongside our favorite people. April of 2025 can't come soon enough!
