We love your children, but this is an adults only celebration.

How do we get into Brookgreen Gardens?

Answer

We will be providing transportation from The Litchfield Beach and Golf Resort and Hampton Inn, Pawley’s Island to the gardens and back. Please see the travel section for details. If you choose to drive yourself: Plan to arrive by 4:30 pm. The gates will be closed at 5 pm. Tell the gate attendants that you are there for the Peterson/Porter wedding and they will direct you further.

What is the attire?

Answer

Formal attire is requested. The entirety of our celebration is outdoors and most of the walking required is on paved pathways. The reception will take place on grass under a tent with a wood dance floor.

Is transportation provided to the after party?

Answer

Transportation is provided after the reception to the designated hotels or to the after party. If attending the after party, it is recommended that you either drive yourself or take the transportation as Ubers can be unreliable at that hour in Pawley’s Island.

We want everyone to safely enjoy the magic of the gardens for our special event. Please adhere to the following Brookgreen Gardens policies: Guests must remain in the designated areas of our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Smoking, vaping, and cigars are strictly prohibited in all areas of the gardens and buildings. No outside food or alcohol may be brought onto the property.
