FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please submit your RSVP by September 15th, 2024.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Unfortunately due to space constraints we are unable to provide +1s. Only the individuals listed on your invitation can be accommodated. If you feel there has been an oversight, please reach out to Matt or Katie directly.

Question

Can my kids come?

Answer

While we love your little ones dearly, our wedding day will be for adults only. We hope you can use our big day to have a fun, relaxing, kid-free night out on the town!

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We are registered at Crate and Barrel and Amazon- please see the registry tab of our wedding website for more information.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Let’s call it cocktail/formal. Think suits and dresses. We want our guests to look and feel their best so, obviously, do what’s best for you. However we do ask that you avoid jeans and other casual attire if possible.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Our short but sweet ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30PM, so we’d like to ask our guests to plan to arrive at Watson Block around 4:15PM. If you arrive late, we ask that you wait downstairs in the lobby until the conclusion of the ceremony.

Question

Where is Watson Block located?

Answer

Our venue for both the ceremony and reception, Watson Block, is located on the 2nd floor of the building. There is a door to enter from the street marked with the Watson Block logo on the corner of N 1st Ave and N 3rd St on the 1st Ave side of the building. There is a bar next door on the ground floor called Jackson’s Hole- so if you see that, you’re in the right place! From the lobby you’ll take either the elevator or the stairs to the 2nd floor.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is a limited amount of metered street parking in the neighborhood surrounding Watson Block as well as several nearby pay lots and ramps. Please keep in mind that we will be in the middle of downtown Minneapolis on a busy Saturday night- so please allow extra time to find parking if you plan to drive. With that being said we HIGHLY recommend using ride share services such as Uber or Lyft. Also, it’s only a 2 block walk from the AC Hotel to the venue.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

If you have a food allergy, please list it in that section of your RSVP and we will be happy to accommodate. Please keep in mind when making requests that our cocktail hour appetizers and dinner buffet menu has been selected to account for a wide variety of dietary preferences, so we will only be making accommodations for food allergies. If you have concerns, please reach out.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Please join us if you are able for Welcome Drinks at Pryes Brewing on Friday, November 1st from 6-9pm. We will have a private space reserved with a variety of beverages (including non-alcoholic) and food for purchase. This is not a rehearsal dinner and ALL wedding guests are welcome!
