Our relationship began with Kelly's mother hiring Bryan as a PT in her clinic. She respected Bryan as a colleague and was thinking we'd be perfect for each other because we both shared the same passion and career. We spent our first date snow boarding all day on Big Bear Mountain and then watching Offspring perform at the base of the mountain. We knew shortly after this first adventure together that we both shared a passion for new experiences and travel. We fell in love in Iceland and have been traveling the world together ever since.

On our trip to New Zealand, we went on a sunrise run along Lake Tekapo in Southern New Zeland. When we ran to the end of the lake path, we went out along the dock to take a photo. When we were taking the photos, Kelly noticed in the camera that Bryan was holding something next to her head and when she turned to look she saw the engagement ring. He had surprised her with a Pounamu (jade) ring. Kelly instantly began to tear up and said "YES" practically before Bryan could even get down on one knee. Bryan professed his love for Kelly and we were engaged!
