Although we don’t remember exactly when we first met in High School, we both recall having immediate crushes on one another. What we do know is that it was the summer of 2014 when we got to know each other and eventually went on our first official date at the drive-in theater in Richland Center. After spending that summer together, we went our separate ways back to La Crosse and Milwaukee for college. It wasn’t until a friends’ wedding in 2019 that we would rekindle that flame. After that wedding, we talked almost daily and eventually met in Utah to explore Arches National Park in Moab for our second “official” date. In early 2020 COVID hit and I flew back to WI where I ended up living out of a suitcase at Emma’s place longer than originally expected as the pandemic continued. I kept pushing flights back until the “when are you going back?” question was answered with an “I don’t really know!” It was during those eventual 3 months (that was supposed to be 2 weeks) that we realized that growing apart all of those years actually led to us growing together in terms of personalities, interests and lifestyles. From then on out, we planned various dates in Wyoming and California before I accepted a new role back in Wisconsin and we moved to Fort Atkinson together. Two years later we have since renovated our first home, built out a camper van, brought our puppy Ripley into our lives and purchased a lot back in Cross Plains where we plan on building our future home to be closer to friends and family. We are incredibly excited to commit to a life together and celebrate our love surrounded by loving family and great friends. We can’t wait to celebrate our day with you all!
