We would describe the dress code as business casual - sundresses and polos. Ultimately, we want our guests to be comfortable whether that's dressing up or wearing something more casual.

What to expect at the Reception?

Our reception is at an old train depot with inside seating and an outdoor picnic pavilion. It is at city facility so it will be a non-alcoholic event. There is plenty of free parking nearby. The reception is also an open house style event. Please stop by any time between 12:30-4:30pm, and stay as long as you want.

It's usually nice weather in June. The average high is in the 70s with the average low being in the 50s. For guests coming from the south, it might feel a little chilly.

The closest airport to Saint Johns, MI is Lansing's Capital Region International Airport (20 miles). Other airport options include: Bishop International Airport (Flint, 50 miles), Gerald R. St. Johns is a small city in Michigan. There may be short term rentals (like airbnb) available in the city. Otherwise there are a couple hotels in Dewitt, MI or lots of options in Lansing, MI. Dewitt is about a 20 minute drive from St. Johns. Lansing is a 30-40 minute drive form St. Johns.

Are there other wedding events I can attend?

We’re keeping things simple, so the reception will be our only official event. However, we’ll be grabbing dinner at the Lansing Shuffleboard and Social Club the night before—feel free to stop by!
