Yes. We are going forward with inviting everyone as planned, but please be aware that if you do not give us an RSVP by the deadline we have requested, you will be counted as not attending. As of September 28th Metropolis is still at a 100 person capacity for groups indoors. Because of the capacity limit we are taking the RSVP deadline seriously. If we do not get a response, you will be counted as unable to attend. Governor Evers extended the mandate of the use of masks in public spaces and the order is in effect until mid November. As of August 3rd masks are required inside of Metropolis but the staff will not be policing guests to wear their mask. We ask that you use your best judgment and to please wear your mask when walking through the hotel. We do not know at this point what the restrictions will be by the end of October, this is the best action we can take at this time to provide a safe environment for our guests. Please visit Metropolis Resorts website for more information. ://www.metropolisresort.com/covid-19/
For the ceremony please come in semi formal attire. For the reception and dance we would love to see your best Halloween costumes! There will be 2 hours in between the ceremony and reception to change. If you don't want to or can't change into a costume, that's okay too! We are also asking guests to please bring a masquerade mask for the dance portion of the evening. Get creative and incorporate your mask into your costume! We will provide some masks at a first come serve basis. For sanitary reasons, you will be able to keep the mask we provide. If you don't feel comfortable with the masquerade mask do not feel obligated to wear one. There will be a photobooth a d photographer to capture all your costumes!
If you are feeling ill in any way, please, please, please, STAY HOME. Please wash your hands regularly. We will be asking guests to use the hand sanitizer that will be provided upon entering the event and to please follow all guidelines that Metropolis has set in place. There will be many hand sanitizing stations throughout The Skybox room that we strongly encourage our beloved guests to use. Including before the buffet line where the Metropolis staff will plate what food you would like and hand to you. We will be having small hand sanitizers at each table as well. We will be providing glow stick bracelets with different colors to indicate the comfort levels guests have with interacting with other guests. Please have the "What you touch is what you take" mindset when taking a mask or any food provided. We are asking guests to please sit with the group/family you came with and not to change seats. Tables will be arranged spacially to help provide social distancing. We are doing everything we can to provide a fun AND safe environment for our guests so please respect our wishes.
Due to the capacity limits set in place by Metropolis Resort, we need to keep our guest list to whom the invitations are addressed to. Please feel free to contact the bride or groom with any questions.
The ceremony and reception will both be taking place indoors in The Skybox room at The Metropolis Resort. Weather permitting the outdoor portion of the resort may be available for guests in between the ceremony and reception.
The staff at Metropolis will be serving a buffet with Mexican food options including vegetarian, gluten free, and dairy free. There will be cupcakes and candy for guests. Pizza and other snacks will be provided later in the evening. Beer will be provided by the bride and groom and cash/credit bar for the evening.
Absolutely! We know that many of our guests have children and we also have some in our wedding party. However, with our wedding being on Halloween, on a Saturday, we understand if your kids would rather go Trick-Or-Treating that evening instead. We will have a photobooth for all the fun costumes and plenty of candy!
Would it be a Halloween party if it didn't have music?! We will have a DJ for the evening playing music all night long! Even those spooky Halloween favorites!
As we have been together for so long we do not need many household items. We are asking for monetary gifts to put towards a honeymoon and/or down payment for a house. If you would rather get a gift, we are currently registered on Zola, Target, and Amazon.
