FAQs

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please arrive at the Chicago History Museum by 5:00pm to allow ample time for parking, mingling, and getting seated before the ceremony begins promptly at 5:30pm. Additionally, we highly recommend allowing extra time to get to the museum to account for Friday rush hour traffic.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Short answer: Formal or Black-Tie Optional attire is requested. Long answer: We'd love for our friends and family to get dressed up with us! We're asking our guests to celebrate with us in their favorite and fanciest attire. This could be an elegant midi or floor length dress, a suit and tie, or a tuxedo! We do kindly ask that you refrain from wearing colors traditionally reserved for the bride- whites, ivories, and creams.

Question

When do I need to RSVP by?

Answer

Kindly RSVP no later than August 1st so that we can plan accordingly.

Question

Can I bring a date/can I bring my kids?

Answer

We are so excited to celebrate this day with our nearest and dearest, and are only able to accommodate guests that are formally addressed on your invitation and specifically named on the RSVP page. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

We have reserved two blocks of rooms for our guests: one at the Omni Magnificent Mile, and one at the Residence Inn Magnificent Mile. Booking links are available under the "Travel & Hotels" tab above. If you'd like to stay elsewhere, there are many other hotels/AirBnbs at different price points in the area!
