Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by August 23, 2023. This way we can have the final headcount for the food and venue.

Question

Are we registered anywhere?

Answer

While we are very lucky and your attendance is gift enough, we have created our registry with SoKind. You can find the registry here: https://sokindregistry.org/Petersens23 We will have a mailbox for cash gifts and cards during the reception!

Question

Arrival & Parking

Answer

Please arrive at the venue between 2:30 & 2:50 pm. The ceremony will begin at 3:00 pm in Dean Hall. When you arrive at the venue, please let the staff at the entrance know that you are there for the Smith-Petersen wedding. Parking and park entry has been covered for all of our guests! Guest entry allows everyone to venture out and tour the beautiful gardens in between the ceremony and reception!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We would love everyone to come dressed in semi-formal/business casual attire! The reception and ceremony are inside, and the venue has A/C. The only time you will be outside is entering and exiting and if you choose to walk the park in between the ceremony and reception. **PLEASE AVOID: White-The Bride has this covered. Rust/Terracotta, Sage, Maroon, and Olive as these colors are saved for the "I Do Crew" and our families.

Question

Can we bring our kids?

Answer

Of course, your kiddos are welcome! But if you would rather have a night off, we support that, too! Each family and their children are accounted for in our guest count. *Please let us know in the note of your RSVP if you are or are not bringing your babes and their names and ages so we can have the appropriate amount of entertainment for them!* Please just be mindful that this may be a long day for some kiddos, and though we are planning to have some separate entertainment for them, they may get bored or tired. DISCLAIMER: There will be alcohol and uncensored music.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Weddings are all about spreading the love! We have enough space for each of our guests to bring a special someone. *PLEASE NOTE ON YOUR RSVP YOUR PLUS ONE'S (if they are not already) NAME*

Question

What's for dinner?

Answer

We are doing a taco bar! Protein choices will be chicken, beef, and steak. Chips, dips, and all the fixings will also be available. **If you have dietary restrictions/ allergies-please let us know so that we can make sure you have a delicious meal that is prepared separately so as not to cross-contaminate! **

Question

Drinks and Alcohol

Answer

We will be serving a few themed mixed drinks for the adults as well as a variety of beers, seltzers, and wines. The only hard alcohol will be with the mixed drinks, and they will be clearly labeled. There will also be non-alcoholic-themed drinks, soda, sweet tea, lemonade, and water. If you would like to bring your own alcohol, please keep it limited to a 6-pack or a personal flask. This is a government park, and as much as we all enjoy libations and want to have the best time, we would also like everyone to remain safe and responsible. *Alcohol consumption is allowed ONLY INSIDE of Dean Hall*
