Halden and I met through a mutual friend at the young ages of 12 (Sarah) and 13 (Halden). Our first encounter with each other was at a lazor-tag get together through a mutual friend. We ended up being on the same team and quickly bonded over the course of the game. After the game we both went our separate ways without thinking anything of it. Months later Halden started coming to our youth group. Throughout the next couple of months we grew in friendship and in the Lord. It quickly became evident that we had quite a few of the same interests and decided to exchange numbers. A few short months later we decided that we wanted to date. The next four years together we learned about each other and grew in the Lord hand in hand, each day falling more in love with one another. We had found our other halves.

Halden and I have a special place that we practice shooting for hunting season so I was not taken aback when Halden said that we should go shoot for a bit. Arriving at "our spot" on a brisk foggy evening we both promptly got out our guns and began to shoot at our targets. After some time we decided to make a fire. Warming ourselves next to the fire Halden took my hands and got down on one knee and asked if I would marry him. Through tears of joy I happily said yes! The rest of night consisted of us telling people the fantastic news and massaging our faces because our cheeks were so sore from smiling.
