If you plan to be there for the Saturday celebrations only, arrive around 3 pm to get ready for the 4 pm ceremony. We will have refreshing drinks at the ceremony spot. If you can come earlier, you're welcome to set up camp and explore the area! Please RSVP with your expected arrival time.
Semi-formal and farm appropriate! Keep in mind that we will be outside and in the barn, so prepare to be on grass and uneven surfaces.
Dogs are best left at home. Chickens run wild here and are tempting treats.
- Poison Ivy (leaves of 3, leave it be!) - Mosquitoes - Electric Fences - Mama pigs with babies
At Camp Shenanigans, enjoy running water, a heated shower, rustic toilet, changing tent, and a fire pit well stocked with wood. There is no electricity, so bring a headlamp or flashlight. There will also be a charging station by the barn.
We will provide the wedding feast on Saturday, and lots of snacks throughout the weekend. You are on your own for other meals. Bring a camp stove to cook out, or try some of the local restaurants in Lawrence or Decatur.
Most of the celebration will take place outside and in the barn. Luke's Dad, Steve, will give tours of the house on Friday and Saturday for those interested in the history of the 1871 Nesbitt house.
