Everyone knows Missy's affinity for community and companionship, but little did she know she would get a lot more than she bargained for. Missy's sister Jess had been seeing a lovely young chap by the name of Peter. As fate would have it, Peter was to attend one of Missy's spaghetti nights and thought he could use some back up. In enters Alex. Alex immediately made an impression on Missy as he was the only person in the history of spaghetti night to have brought soup. Alex was thinking, "soup, salad, and bread sticks make great companions for pasta". As the evening progressed, it turned out that their soup-spaghetti differences would be overshadowed by the fact that they both were closing on new homes. Alex, not to be one-upped by Missy, shared photos of his house and Missy was stricken by the basketball hoop. She challenged Alex to a match stating that she could "drive the lane on him". Neither one knew that their basketball match up in sweatpants and frigid temperatures would turn into their first date. A few dates later, after meeting Alex's parents really early on and surviving their first Rocky Horror Picture Show, Missy and Alex were ready to call this something more.
