Wedding Party

Alice Austin

Matron of Honor

I met Alice in high school, and we grew closer after I joined color guard my senior year, but we didn't truly become best friends until our freshman year of college. We made plans to visit our friend Allie at U of M, so Alice picked me up from my dorm at Michigan State and we drove through one of the worst snow storms I have ever seen. We have been best friends ever since. She has been my rock, my confidant, my sister, and my best friend through thick and thin. I was able to stand at Alice's side as her Maid of Honor, and I am so blessed to have her as my Matron of Honor.

Joe Austin

Best Man

I first met Joe in Junior High, when we were the only two euphonium players. The friendship quickly bloomed and we have been a huge part of each other's lives ever since! After high school, I eventually moved in with Joe in Ypsilanti. For many years Joe and I lived together, playing video games until late in the night (a favorite hobby of ours). Eventually, I had the honor of being Joe's co-best man at his wedding and now it is time for the shoe to be on the other foot! I couldn't be more excited to have Joe be by my side.

Bridgette Rowe

Bridesmaid

Bridgette and I met my sophomore year of college when we both joined our sorority, Alpha Omicron Pi. We grew closer through mutual friends, then discovered we were basically the same person. Through college, she was always by my side when I needed her. If I was stressed about a class, she'd offer to help. If I was worried about a problem or upset about something, she'd always be there for an ice cream date. I am so lucky to have such an amazing human being stand with me at my wedding.

Jordan Dietzel

Groomsman

Jordan and I have known each other for as long as I can remember. Probably because we are brothers! Although for many years I played the role of annoying little brother perfectly (I must say), after working with him as a mover and living in Kalamazoo for 2 years, we grew extremely close. I have learned so much from him (even though he may deny it) that I can't imagine him not being up there with me during the ceremony.

Kim Pius

Bridesmaid

Kim and I met through our sorority our sophomore year of college. Our friendship began with playfully picking on each other at meetings, then seemingly overnight, we decided to be best friends. Through the years, Kim has always been a little piece of sunshine on my cloudy days. No matter what mood I am in or what is happening in my life, she can always make me laugh. She has been an unwavering friend who I am so happy to have standing by my side.

Justin Dietzel

Groomsman

As the last name might suggest, Justin and I are also brothers! Justin has always embraced the creative side of life and that was something that stuck with me to this day. We have always bonded over board games or video games that take place in mystical worlds. Justin is easily one of the reasons I am able to dream so big. From watching him while I was growing up, I could see that nothing was out of reach if I wanted it enough. I can't wait to share the stage with him on Emily and I's big day!

Heather Jackson

Bridesmaid

One of the first times I spent a significant amount of time with Heather was at her wedding! A week before the wedding, Jared boldly asked Heather and Bryce if he could bring me as a plus one. Thankfully, Heather and Bryce are some of the sweetest people on the planet, so they agreed. Since then, Heather and I have bonded over our teaching (horror) stories and love of all things cheese. Her optimism will help me through any wedding stress that may come my way, and I am so excited for her to be in our wedding.

Bryce Jackson

Groomsman

Bryce and I had the pleasure of meeting through Joe! We both went to Eastern Michigan University and eventually lived together for a year. We've only really known each other for 4 years, but I can't imagine us being any closer. Bryce is easily one of the nicest people I have ever met and I look up to him. Bryce has played a surprisingly large role in the man that I am today and it wouldn't feel right if he wasn't up with me during the ceremony.

Liz Berghoff

Bridesmaid

As soon as I met Liz, she instantly made me feel a part of the friend group. She has been so supportive of mine and Jared's relationship, always excited to hear about our new adventures and milestones. She is one of those people that you instantly feel connected to, and I feel so lucky that we have become so close. I can't remember a time that she didn't have a smile on her face, and I am so happy to have her standing in our wedding.

Chad White

Groomsman

Chad and I might not have known each other as long as some of the other groomsmen, but our friendship is growing extremely fast! Chad and I share a love for board games and I get excited every time we get together because we always end up talking about a new game we bought and played. Chad also played the important role of capturing the proposal and without him it wouldn't have been the same.

Andy Peters

Man of Honor

Although Jared has only known Andy for a few years, I've had the honor of knowing him my whole life, because he's my brother! From math homework to life advice, Andy has always been there for me. He can always make me laugh with his witty commentary and timely puns. Jared and I are so thankful for Andy's unwavering support throughout our entire relationship, and we are so honored to have him as our Man of Honor on our special day!
