Will there be transportation on the day of the wedding (Saturday)?

Answer

Yes! Trollies will pick up guests at the following locations and times. This will be the only pickup time at these locations, so please plan on another method of transportation if you aren't able to make these times: 2:30 pm - The Bluebird Restaurant (102 E River St, Leland, MI 49654) 2:40 pm - Snowbird Inn 2:50 pm - Inn the Pines 2:45 pm - Whaleback Inn Trollies will be departing Fountain Point to loop guests back to the above locations between 8pm-midnight.

Are there Ubers/Lyfts in the area?

Answer

Not really... There are some Ubers in Traverse City (about 30 mins away from Fountain Point/Lake Leelanau), but they are scarce, especially once you leave the Traverse City area! What shoes should the ladies wear?

The ceremony and reception at Fountain Point will be on grass, so wear whatever you're comfortable in!

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 3:00 pm. Please arrive before 3:00 pm.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

This time of year is typically beautiful in Northern Michigan, but there are always chances of extreme weather, ie: heavy rain or immense heat. Please be prepared for both! The ceremony and cocktail hour are planned to be outside on the lawn at Fountain Point. We will move under the tent for dinner in dancing.

Staying at Fountain Point? Here's what to expect...

Resort Amenities: - Large sandy beach - Waterfront bon-fires (be sure to look out for Northern Lights!) - Access to kayaks, paddleboards & boats, & canoes - Boat access via dock - Nature trail through woods - Game room with piano, pool table, ping-pong, foosball, & board games (there are no TV's!) - Large lawn with frisbee golf hole, tetherball, corn hole, & shuffleboard Food: -Breakfast will be offered on-site each morning from a food truck ( (food tickets will be be provided) but we recommend that each cottage/hotel room stocks up on plenty of water, drinks, food, & booze for the weekend! Refer to our 'Things to Do' tab for a list of restaurant and grocery store recommendations. Other things to note: - We will be providing beach towels for all guests staying at FP. - There is limited WIFI - only in the main building/hotel. Check-In: - Check in is from 4-10 pm on the day of your arrival. If you'll be arriving after 10pm, let us know and we'll find a way to get you your keys.
