In May of 2023, Tabea was visiting Izmir, Turkey for a week. She met Peter at church the only Sunday she was in town. They exchanged a few words before parting ways, both of them impressed by the other but thinking they’d never see each other again. The next day, Tabea asked her friend about this guy named Peter, and she told her all she knew about him and schemed plans to make sure they’d meet again before Tabea left the country. And she, along with a few other friends, succeeded in bringing Peter and Tabea to the same outings so they could get to know each other. They even managed to arrange an hour long date (as per Tabea’s wish) the day before she left to Germany. A few days later, Peter contacted Tabea, expressing his desire of starting a dating relationship. A couple weeks later, Peter visited Tabea in Germany for a week, and they decided to officially date the day Peter flew out to the States on June 8, 2023. After about 4 months of long distance dating, Tabea spent nearly 3 months in Izmir (where Peter was living), and they got to know each other more in person. After another 11 weeks apart, Peter visited Tabea in India, which is where they decided (after months of praying) that they would like to get married the same year. And finally, after 8 weeks of another stretch of long-distance dating, Tabea moved to Izmir. And less than a week later, Peter popped the question, and Tabea said “Yes!”
