After the Mass, feel free to give yourself a self-guided tour of the Basilica using a brochure from the back table. The Basilica is America's first Catholic cathedral, and it was designed by architect Benjamin Latrobe, who also designed the Capitol Building in Washington, DC!
This free art museum is just a short walk from the Basilica.
Need a pick-me-up? Ceremony Coffee is just a couple of blocks away. Shannon and Peter have walked here after morning Mass many times :)
Hungry? Need a snack before the reception? (We don't blame you.) Mount Vernon Marketplace is right next door to Ceremony Coffee, and there are lots of different food options.
This historic monument was the first in the country to be dedicated to George Washington.
Atwater's is our FAVORITE. If you want some food or a pick-me-up in between the Mass and the reception, this location is close to our reception venue.
Looking for a sweet treat to beat the heat? The Charmery is a great Baltimore ice cream shop with three locations to choose from. There is also another one in Hampden, located at 1700 W. 41st Street, in the Union Collective.
