We met through a mutual friend in January 2021. Lela was in college, while Peter was a marine. Fast-forward one and a half years, Lela finished her post-grad and moved back to North Carolina. Peter struck up a conversation to meet, while Lela intended to be platonic. It quickly turned into a love story that fate could not ignore.
