FAQs

Question

What made you first notice him?

Answer

1) He was very cute! A tall, polite handsome young man with lovely blue eyes. He had a sense of authenticity and thoughtfulness about him. 2) I was walking back to the friend group, late to a hang out because I was attending a campus youth group. I asked if he was Christian, and he proceeded to pull out his large Brophy cross. This is when I really started to distinguish him for all others. We spent long walks (more than a mile) to get to each youth group, often talking about our future hopes and dreams.

Question

How did you know you were in love with him?

Answer

Although I still don't know how to define love. There was always a gentle peaceful joy with him. I knew I was falling in love with him when the fact he could see me cry and hold me without me feeling deep discomfort or embarrassment.

Question

Where did you guys meet?

Answer

We met in the dining hall at Arizona State University. We both were in the Barrett, the Honors College. One of those days, our now mutual friend Justine introduced herself while Katy was sitting alone. However, Katy did not know that Justine had introduced herself to many of us quirky souls, in which Peter and others trailed into the dining hall. Afterwards, there was a large friend group that solidified into a smaller and greatly more intimate friend group.

Question

What first made you notice her?

Answer

She's such a quirky little cutie pie, how could I not notice her? We basically ran into each other through happenstance at ASU and hit it off immediately. Once we started spending more time together, I got to see how caring, smart, and beautiful her soul is - I figured out pretty quickly that she's the one for me!

Question

How did you know you were in love with her?

Answer

Like I said, I figured it out pretty quickly! I felt it the first time when she invited me back to her place to cuddle and watch Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. I managed to stop myself from saying "I love you" to her for two weeks before the feeling was too overwhelming. I feel incredibly grateful and lucky that I didn't scare her away!

Question

Are you a better person with him?

Answer

Absolutely! Never had I had such a strong sense of urgency to craft the future. This is because every time I think about him, I know I "caught" a good man. I want to always continuing to level up and be the best I can for him and any future family we may have. I know that we are led by God and will make the best decisions possible, together as one. One of the random things would include, waking up so happy that I wish I had a tail to wag to express the joy of love. Another would be looking forward to sharing food: I know Mom, any other person would be stabbed for touching my leftovers. Lastly, is the way he encourages me to continue to be the most authentic, even when I am scared.

Question

What do you guys like to do?

Answer

1) Eat... eat lots and often. The journey to be wedding ready is an uphill one. 2) Cuddle, both our primary love languages is physical touch. Listening to each other's heart beat is quite magical. 3) Sleep - Naps are at the core of having an exciting life. 4) Activities: board games, video games, hiking, rock climbing, racquetball, bowling, and reading.

Question

When are you having kids?

Answer

KB - 1) I am still unsure if we will have kids, but maybe two someday. It would be nice to have kids while still in my 20s, but I definitely want to make sure that we own a house and have leveled up in our careers to make life as stable as possible. I want to make sure that I have time for our kids.

Question

If he was a worm, would you still love him?

Answer

Yes, but that love would be different. As with all things, I would cherish our time together, but also have to let him live his worm life in the soil and I in the house. Maybe if the timing was good, I would place him in a terraria, where he could endlessly munch on my cooking.

Question

If she was a worm, would you still love her?

Answer

Of course, and I would immediately embark on a zany adventure to capture the wizard that transformed her and force him to change her back. I would keep her in my breast pocket throughout our journeys, and pretend to translate her thoughts to my companions - in reality, I would be inventing these thoughts. My loneliness would grow throughout our travels though, and I would begin to feel frustrated - blaming her for her predicament and her inability to help us overcome obstacles. When all hope seems lost and the wizard is about to defeat our party once and for all, she would sneak out of my pocket and crawl into the wizard's ear, providing the distraction we need to turn the tide of the battle. It would be a perilous adventure, but one that taught me a humbling and important lesson about the power of love.
