We've been told that our beginning is the nerdiest of them all... We met at a club fair in 2018 during Katelyn’s first weekend as a student at the University of Notre Dame. What initially began as mutual interests in strategic tabletop games (the club that we met through), similar tastes in TV shows, and a shared love of dogs evolved gradually into richer conversations about broader things – life, family, philosophy, and faith. Since then, we have had countless memorable experiences as a couple: Celebrating Candlelight Masses in Alumni Hall, designing and constructing projects in Father Dan’s wood shop, rushing the field at Notre Dame Stadium after beating Clemson in double overtime (and rushing again in 2021!), traveling to Smith Mountain Lake, Los Angeles, Ireland, France, and Germany, and many more wonderful memories. Five years later, we have both grown significantly together. But above all, this story is not just about us: It is also the story of all those who have supported, challenged, and encouraged us along the way. We would not be the team that we are today without our family, mentors, and role models who have formed us throughout our lives. So, to all those that have touched our lives, we want to say thank you! We love you all and are looking forward to celebrating this step into our new life as one with all those who mean the most to us.
