Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Julia Wu and Peter Carmichael
This just a few of our favorites from when we were living in the area - Seattle has so much to see and do, so this list is certainly not exhaustive! Feel free to reach out for more recommendations :) If you have a car, the surrounding areas have many more activities including beautiful hikes and nature walks.

Pike Place Market

Seattle, WA

A classic! The "first" Starbucks, flying fish, and tons of tasty eats. Rachel's Ginger Beer, Beecher's Cheese, and Piroshky Piroshky are among our favorites, but you really can't go wrong here.

The Spheres

2111 7th Avenue, Seattle, WA 98121

Limited public viewing times but a very cool space to see in person

Space Needle Loop

Space Needle Loop, Seattle, WA 98109

Another classic! The attached Pacific Science Center is also worth a visit (catch at movie at the largest IMAX screen in WA), as well as the nearby Museum of Pop Culture

Cloudburst Brewing

2116 Western Avenue, Seattle, WA 98121

Started by Steve Luke, a brewer with Elysian who cut ties and started his project after it was sold to Anheuser-Busch. One of our favorite breweries in Seattle!

928 12th Avenue, Seattle, WA 98122

Classic, somewhat pretentious, highly awarded cocktail bar with some great adventurous drinks

Rhein Haus Seattle

912 12th Avenue, Seattle, WA 98122
, (206) 325-5409

German biergarten with great food and bocce ball! A favorite haunt when reuniting with college friends.

1618 North 45th Street, Seattle, WA 98103
, (206) 632-7010

Julia went here probably once a month when she was living in Wallingford - lots of small Japanese bites and shared plates

Musashi's Wallingford

1400 North 45th Street, Seattle, WA 98103
, (206) 633-0212

No frills sushi and sashimi (their chirashi bowl is a great deal!), bring cash

Dick's Drive-In

115 Broadway East, Seattle, WA 98102
, (206) 323-1300

One of Peter's favorites, a Seattle cult classic. Lots of locations!
