We plan to continue with our October reception unless we ABSOLUTELY cannot. Many non-refundable things have already been paid for. We expect that if you are sick, you stay home. If you feel uncomfortable being in a large group, it is perfectly okay to decline with regret. We respect the decisions of caution made by our guests and ask that courtesy and kindness be extended to all guests. By coming, guests are accepting any risk that may be present. Masks are welcome, but will not be mandated. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Read the next question for specifics on how we are making social-distancing possible.
If the day comes and you are sick, the weather is bad, etc., you can text our hostess, Lori, to let her know. You can send her a text at 605-695-5717. Thank you.
We are doing what we can to make it possible for our guests to social-distance. Weather-permitting, our ceremony will be outside in the large yard of the church. This will help prevent congestion inside of the church. Plus, who doesn't love the outdoors? Please check the weather and dress accordingly. The reception will take place indoors, where social-distancing will be nearly impossible. We will offer outdoor seating or meals to-go upon request. You can make your choice on the RSVP form.
We do not intend to reschedule. Setting a new date is expensive and difficult. In the extreme case that we would cancel our October event, we do not plan to have another reception.
Webster's Dictionary defines "wedding" as the fusing of two metals with a hot torch.
