We have to admit, the night we met would've been a pretty special start to any love story. It was the very last night of a holiday event that we were both fans of- The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights at Disney's Hollywood Studios. We both had plans to spend the evening with mutual friends and were introduced when we arrived at the park. The two of us hit it off immediately and ended up spending the entire evening talking to each other, laughing, & finding out that we had an endless list of uncanny similarities. Peter reached out immediately after that night and our first date was just a few days later. As cliché as it sounds, we both feel like it was "love at first sight" and we have spent every moment since then building an incredible relationship as best friends and partners.
Anyone close to us knows that we love to travel, and one of our frequently-visited getaway spots is Las Vegas. We have spent a lot of our most celebratory moments here together as a couple, so Peter knew it would be the perfect place to create such an important memory and to start the next big step of our journey. Peter worked with a company called Do Amore to have a custom ring made and had it shipped to a local Post Office where his mom picked it up and snuck it into our hotel safe! Once the ring was in Peter's reach, he knew he wanted to "pop the question" right away. After a serene afternoon of sitting on our hotel balcony, listening to our favorite music, and enjoying each other's company, Peter pulled off a huge surprise by stepping out in his fanciest clothes and getting down on one knee. We celebrated the rest of the week by taking a trip through the desert, wearing "I'm Engaged" buttons at Disneyland, and sharing the news with family members. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect start to the engagement!
When we first got engaged and started thinking about all of the possibilities of a wedding location, we discovered a company that specialized in bespoke European elopements. Our initial dream was to have a honeymoon exploring different countries, so it made sense to keep the ceremony small and plan a destination wedding. As COVID-19 strengthened across the globe in 2020, it became clear that international travel was too uncertain for the near future and we made the difficult decision to cancel our original plans. While it took some time to get our vision back on track, we are so happy to have found a new venue and to have the opportunity to spend our special day surrounded by our closest family and friends! We truly hope that you are able to join us and can't wait to celebrate together.
