Things To Do

Hawaii and the island of Maui is such a magical place and there is SO much to do! This things to do list for Maui could be miles long! What you are looking to get out of your trip and time while here will dictate the 'things to do' and any recommendations. Just visiting the beautiful beaches and bays along Maui's breathtaking coast may be enough for some, while others may want a more action packed experience. You can: Snorkel - Zipline- Hike- Attend a Luau- Visit the Maui Swap Meet - Kayak - Visit Maui Brewing Company and drink a Bikini Blonde as well as visit many other breweries - Drive the Road to Hana - Visit one of many Hawaiian shrimp trucks and enjoy a local favorite combo plate - Get up way too early and enjoy the sunrise among the cloud's on top of Haleakala - Enjoy a dinner cruise - Charter a Boat or sign up for some Deep Sea Fishing and eat what you may have caught - Visit a Waterfall or two

Snorkel Bob's Honokowai

3350 Lower Honoapiilani Road, Lahaina, HI 96761
, (808) 667-9999

If you are interested in Snorkeling, I recommend renting beach gear including snorkel gear from Snorkel Bob's there are plenty of locations on multiple islands. Not only can you rent Snorkel Gear and go off on your own to one of MANY snorkel spots, you can rent other gear or sign up for one of their Tours/Activities. There are two Snorkel Bob locations near Ka'anapali, Snorkel Bob's- Lahaina & Snorkel Bob's Honokwai. Ask them for a beach map or some rad local snorkel spots.

Whalers Village

Kaanapali, HI 96761

Whaler's Village is an outdoor shopping mall with places to eat and shop. There are local restaurants and shops, along with brand name as well. It is within walking distance from Sheraton Maui, and located along the main 'hotel drag' of Ka'anapali. I recommend stopping by Island Vintage Coffee for a nice Kona brew, or eating outside in the sand near the beach at Hula Grill.

Lāhainā Banyan Court, United States

671 Front Street, Lahaina, HI 96761
, (808) 661-4685

Cruise down to the town of Lahaina, and check out the ENORMOUS Banyan Tree and experience some Hawaiian History and culture. There are many shops and restaurants along Front Street- the main drag of Lahaina, along with tons of history and beautiful views. Enormous is no understatement here: Spanning 1.94 acres—over the length of a city block—and rising more than 60 feet in the air, Lahaina’s famed banyan tree is a quarter of a mile in circumference and possesses 16 trunks, making it the largest banyan tree not only in Hawaii but also in the United States (and one of the most massive in the world).

Monkeypod Kitchen by Merriman - Kaanapali, Maui

Lahaina, HI 96761
, (808) 878-6763

Visit Monkeypod for a Mai Tai during happy hour and enjoy some live music- take a look at their Live Music Calendar

Kapalua Bay Beach

Kapalua, HI 96761

Our wedding ceremony and dinner will be overlooking this amazing snorkel spot. We recommend heading back this way to enjoy some great snorkeling in calmer bay waters. It can be crowded at times, but this spot is a must!

Wailua Falls

HI 96746

If you are interested in a hike or a swim among waterfalls, check out this site. There are plenty of options to take a guided tour or you can go it alone and spend more time where you would like to. If you decide to go it along or do a tour, I recommend brining plenty of water and sunscreen, bring some snacks and definitely waterproof everything (daybag, shoes, clothing, etc.)

Maui Brewing Co. - Lahaina

4405 Hawaii 30, Lahaina, HI 96761
, (808) 669-3474

Joey's Kitchen Napili

Napilihau Street, Lahaina, HI 96761
, (808) 214-5590

As a foodie and someone who loves to try new things in new places, Hawaii is a melting pot of many cultures and cuisines. A well known Hawaiian dish is loco moco- this is a dish to check off of your list, especially if you may have overindulged or as Stuart Forrest says may have been 'overserved' the night before.

Haleakala Crater

HI 96790

Haleakalā, or the East Maui Volcano, is a massive shield volcano that forms more than 75% of the Hawaiian Island of Maui.

Maui Restaurants-

Along with a mile long list of things to do, is a mile long list of places/things to eat. I left this website of best restaurants in Maui, but please know you really can't go wrong. The pineapple and Maui onion chips from an ABC store are delicious as is Mama's Fish House.

Leoda's Kitchen and Pie Shop

820 Olowalu Village Road, Lahaina, HI 96761
, (808) 662-3600

Just visit while you are in Lahaina, you won't regret it!
