Question

What language is spoken in San Sebastian?

Answer

While the two official languages of the Basque Country (where San Sebastian is located) are Basque and Spanish, you should have no problem getting by with English!

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

San Sebastian is a small, walkable city with many great accommodation options close to each other. Here are our recommendations: - Lasala Plaza Hotel ($$) - We have a small hotel room block at Lasala Plaza Hotel in the San Sebastian Old City. If you would like to reserve one of the blocked rooms, they are available on a first-come-first-served basis. Information on the room block can be found here: https://bit.ly/room-block-info - Hotel Maria Cristina ($$$) - this is the only Marriott/Bonvoy Hotel in the city in a beautiful, historic building. - Hotel Londres y Inglaterra ($$) - a larger hotel in a central location. - Hotel Zimena7 ($) - a great option where we stayed on our first San Sebastian trip! There are also many AirBnB options in the city.
