Garden of the Gods Visitor & Nature Center
A beautiful garden of large red rock formations, near the mountain side close to downtown and OCC. This was the one of the first places Alli and Peter went on their first date together as well as where they got engaged.
Building Three Coffee
Building three is located in the old Lincoln School, it is a place where people who travel through pass by and has become a place that locals go to see their neighbors and friends. They have healthy food as well as delicious quality coffee. Allison worked here when she lived in the Springs, her favorites are the cappuccino, the single origin black coffees, or the drink that is named after her called the Alli, a blood orange tea lemonade sweetened with rosemary rooibus syrup.
Nightingale Bread
Nightingale is right next to Building Three Coffee, this is the perfect combo! They are open Wednesday-Saturday 8am-2pm and have a variety of delicious sourdough bread as well as pastries.
Fine Arts Center
Located Downtown Colorado Springs, The Fine Arts Center is a great art museum to explore. With pieces of local Colorado/Colorado Springs Art as well as circling exhibitions. Cost for tickets are between $10-$12.
ArkCleoRich African Kitchen & Lounge - Downtown
ArkCleoRich is a West African restaurant downtown. They have a variety of West African Dishes, From Jolloff and Plantains, to Egusi and Pounded Yam, and Ofada Stew.
Yellow Mountain Tea House
A beautiful Chinese Tea House located in Old Colorado City (OCC) They have over 300 tea selections. It's a great place to get dumplings, boa buns and wonton soup. If you want to get food or sit down and have tea there call them and book ahead.
U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum
Colorado Springs is called the Olympic City, many olympians come to Colorado Springs to train. The museum is a glimpse at the history of American Olympians and preparation in our city.
Shop & Smile African and Int'l Market
If you're wanting African spices, goods, treats, or supplies this is the spot in Colorado Springs. Alli and Peter go here when they visit to get supplies to bring back to Nevada. If you want Pounded Yam, Egusi, Palm Oil, Suya Spice, Kuli Kuli, and Gari. Perfect Spot
Glen Eyrie Castle
Peter and Alli spent part of their first date on the grounds of Glen Eyrie Castle. The grounds are beautiful, lush and the castle is a homage to European structure. The founder of Colorado Springs built Glen Eyrie, you can have a British style tea in their tea room, or take a tour of the castle.
