This is a great place to grab an afternoon drink, majority of seating is outside so dress accordingly! If you need to get your steps in, walk the Katy Trail and end here for a little reward! Then again it's vacation, so Uber on over and grab a drink! Don't skip the cheese fries, and if it's time for a cocktail, try their signature summer beer!
Looking for some Mexican food? Look no further! Las Palmas is one of our absolute favorite upscale Mexican restaurants in Dallas. If you're in the mood for Tequila, try their Mexican Martini! A few other favorites are their queso (duh!), fajitas (try the Wagyu beef), Taco Salad, and Tortilla Soup! You will need a reservation, so think ahead for this one!
Located right across the street from Las Palmas is this moody cocktail bar! Peter and Madison love it for a pre or post-dinner drink!
Located on one of Peter and Madison's favorite streets in Dallas is HG Sply Co! This is a short Uber (or walk if you're feeling ambitious) from The Highland Hotel which has the best rooftop bar on Greenville (in our opinion)! Go for a casual rooftop drink, or book a table downstairs for dinner.
White Rock Lake is one of our favorite places to spend some time outdoors! There is a walking/biking trail that goes around the entire lake and is the perfect place to get your steps in!
Traveling in a pack? This restaurant is perfect for large groups or those of you dining with kiddos! They have seating indoors and outdoors and plenty of space for your little ones to run around!
If you're wanting to go on a bit of a morning stroll with coffee as your end destination, we love Cafe Duro. They are owned by and connected to the restaurant next door named "Sister". Once you grab a coffee, head over to the Sister patio to enjoy!
Hudson House has multiple locations, the original being on Lovers Lane! You will need a reservation for this spot, but it's a Dallas staple! Known for the burgers, oysters and salads, this is the perfect restaurant for anything from brunch to dinner.
Looking for a kid-friendly activity? The Perot Museum is designed to be fully immersive and interactive making it something both adults and kids will love! Fun fact - this is one of the first places Madison took Peter during the college summers when they were long-distance and flying to visit each other!
Another great place for a casual outdoor drink! Also located on Greenville, this outdoor bar has rotating food trucks that pull into the back making it an easy spot to grab a bite. On the weekends, there is typically live music!
It might not look like much...but it's an absolute staple for the couple. Just a short walk from their house is this quaint Mediterranean spot that is mostly a family-style and tapas experience (Peter + Madison's favorite way to eat!). Their must-try dishes are hummus, olives, cheese plate, and beef piroshki! Be sure to ask for Nick, and let him know Peter and Madison sent you...you won't regret it!
Also close to The Highland is this easy brunch spot! Peter and Madison love to sit on their covered patio, grab a few cheap mimosas and beer and enjoy a casual non-fussy meal!
