Q&A

Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP by May 15th, so we can have an accurate headcount. Should you need to change your response for any reason please just let us know directly.

Question

Am I attending the ceremony?

Answer

We'd absolutely love everyone to attend the woodland ceremony! If you wish to, please arrive at 1.30pm. This is a disclaimer: there is very limited seating here and will of course be reserved for our less mobile guests so please be aware you may need to stand for the service. If you're not sure you'll make this part, please arrive at 3pm for your welcome drink.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We hope you can understand that this will be an adults only event (except for one small sibling!) and take the opportunity to have a childfree night out!

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our wedding ceremony is outdoors, but our reception will be in a barn. We suggest bringing an umbrella (just in case).

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

There is some free parking at the location but the lane leading to it is very narrow. We recommend arranging taxis. See travel section for recommended Taxi firms and please let us know if you would like to be put in contact with people stopping nearby for taxi sharing.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We are really excited to celebrate with you and hope you take it as an opportunity to dress your best! Please just be aware of the outdoor areas mentioned below when considering lengths of items and shoes.

Question

What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?

Answer

There is lots of grass and the car park is stones and should the weather turn wet, this would be tricky for stiletto heels. The ceremony will be in the woodland but the reception is in a barn with a concrete floor. We suggest you choose shoes you can dance in!

Question

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

Answer

The ceremony will be unplugged so you will be asked not to take photos during this part. After that - yes! We would love for you to take photos and share them with us afterwards.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We've endeavored to invite the people closest to us and their partners. If your partner isn't on the list, please get in touch with us about adding a +1.

Question

Is there a gifts registry?

Answer

The only gift we need is your attendance but, if you do want to give something, please consider making a donation to a charity that is important to you and telling us about it!

Question

What is there to do in the area?

Answer

North Yorkshire is beautiful and Great Ayton is a quaint little village. If you're staying over the weekend there are local pubs, beaches and walks. Take a look at the "Things to do" page for more suggestions!

Question

Whom should I call with questions?

Answer

Please get in touch with either of us via WhatsApp for any queries.
