Matron of Honor
Everyone needs a friend like Maddie Wise. She is a rock, and a biggest cheerleader through all the highs and lows. She is the one you call or show up at any hour of the day either in tears or ready to celebrate, and she is ready to tackle whatever it is. She is the most loving, caring, selfless person I know, and I'm honored to have her stand by me. When you meet her, you will know :)
Best Man
Timmy has been my best friend since preschool. I was the best man at his wedding, and now I am excited to return the favor. We're like Woody and Buzz, partners in crime and always by each other’s side, even on man dates at Disneyland and the zoo - it’s totally normal. If you see Timmy at the wedding, compliment him on his photography - he hid in the bushes and took our engagement proposal photos!
Maid of Honor
Mariana is the sister I never had but instantly became. We met in college at Dayton, and from the moment we connected, we were inseparable—she’s truly the yin to my yang. Her style, confidence, and friendship have shaped who I am, and so many of my core memories include her. She keeps me in check and is my forever party trick. If you see her, be sure to ask about how much my dad loves trees—it’s a story worth hearing!
Groomsman
Sam is my older brother. We are a house divided (UK vs. UofL, Cardinals vs. Cubs, Rover vs. Margot), but I know I can always count on him. If you see him at the wedding, ask him what his favorite MLB stadium is. He, my dad, and I have gone to 26 out of the 30!
Bridesmaid
Every love story needs a great supporting cast, and Molly is one of the best! Fun fact—she’s the one who introduced Pete and me at Tin Roof! Molly and I met while working at the eye doctor’s office and became instant friends. She has a way of bringing energy and laughter wherever she goes, and I’m so grateful to have her in my life. Be sure to ask her about how she introduced Pete and I.
Groomsman
Eric has been one of my best friends since our St. Raphael days. He’s the friend you can always count on and always comes prepared. He always has his portable phone charger on him if you’re running low on battery, and if you ask him to buy ice for a kegger, he’ll show up with 15 large bags. If you see a guy in a tracksuit doing the Griddy on the dance floor, it’s probably him (and if it’s not, we should probably kick that guy out).
Bridesmaid
Our story began in high school, then took us to Dayton, Ohio, for college, and through it all, our friendship has never wavered. Kate is the ultimate dancing queen and my forever girl crush. She’s the most energetic, funny, and loving person I know—she keeps you grounded but also knows how to have the best time. She’s truly one of a kind, and even on your worst days, she’ll have you laughing in no time. If you see her, be sure to ask about our song!
Groomsman
Nick is one of my best friends from St. X. He is one of the best people you will ever meet and is always there for you. Any given weekend, you can catch us golfing, going to a Racing Louisville game, or grabbing a beer and watching a game. Nick was also my first friend to meet Rachel - ask him about that story.
Bridesmaid
"KoKo" is a true business powerhouse and a rockstar in every sense. She is beauty, and she is BRAINS. She's the most sincere and loving person, always checking in to see how you're doing. A natural-born investigator, your go-to in life, no questions asked. To the end of the earth, I know she has my back. Ask her to sing if you see her!
Groomsman
Wilson...Pete...Wilson...Pete...Wilson...-- if you are confused by this, ask Wilson at the wedding. I text Wilson more than I text my future wife. Wilson is my fraternity brother from Centre and one of my best friends. Stick around at the reception - we'll probably sing a rendition of "Hooked on a Feeling" with the band.
Bridesmaid
Madie is that friend everyone needs—the one who tells it like it is, even when it’s hard to hear. We first met in high school, running in different circles, but on the first day of college at Dayton, we became instant friends. She’s the most honest and genuine person, always wanting the best for those around her. Whether she’s pushing me to be the best version of myself or lifting me up when I need it most, she’s always there. I’m so grateful to have her by my side on this special day!
Groomsman
"Minty" is my fraternity brother and roommate at Centre College. He is one of the best people I know - a loyal friend, that always makes an effort to stay in touch. If you can't find us at the wedding, we'll probably in the corner watching the Cats play (JK - Rachel said that's not happening).
Bridesmaid
Growing up with only brothers, I hit the jackpot having Megan as my sister in-law. She is the most beautiful person both inside and out, and I’m honored to call her a sister and have her stand by me. It takes a lot to "want" to be a Richard, and Megan and Pete both have taken on the Lord's work. Ask her about Poppifer Elliot!
Groomsman
Parker is Rachel's older brother, and from the very first time I met him at the Richard family oyster broil, he has always made me feel welcome. In fact, he was the one who taught me how to shuck my first oyster. I'm so excited to have him as a brother-in-law. If you see him on the dance floor, ask him to do the crab dance!
Bridesmaid
Kelly and I were freshman year roommates where she instantly became a life-long friend. From living together in college, to living together after we graduated, she has always been a special person in my life. She is my voice of reason and forever friend. There's a reason she's such a great teacher - she had a lot of practice keeping this kid in check!
Groomsman
Noah is Rachel's younger brother. We have a shared calm demeanor that brings a balance to the lively Richard family. I've never had a younger brother, and I'm excited to call him one. He'll be the one on the dance floor looking like a whacky inflatable.
