We met coaching middle school track. For a few years that is all we did. Sometimes we would bump into each other, usually in our officiant Yancy's classroom at the middle school. Yancy would usually say to Pete that he should date Olivia, and Pete would usually say something like "I can't figure her out. She might hate me." However, soon after track season ended, Olivia hinted at liking Pete. Pete asked her on a hike, and from there, their adventure began. It has been filled with many laughs, hikes, trips around the world, and to Hot Tomato (their favorite pizza place).

We had talked about getting engaged a lot. On New Year's Eve, Pete asked Olivia if she thought she would be engaged by the end of the year, and she said yes. So when the opportunity to go to Switzerland and Italy for the Olympics arose (thanks Chase), Pete knew he had to take advantage of the opportunity. After landing in Zurich, and a ride up the Polybahn, and help from Claudia and Braeden, Pete asked a completely surprised Olivia to marry him. She said yes, obviously.
