House Or Rental
We highly suggested booking your rental ASAP on island if you are planning to stay the weekend. The majority (or all) of the private homes are already booked. Portland is the second best option. We suggest booking a hotel in PORTLAND (Old Port area close to Casco Bay Lines Ferry). BOOK SOON regardless if you're staying on or off the island. Click the link to doc or check the usual sites (airbnb, vrbo, etc). If you are staying on the island for an extended stay you will need to rent a golf cart or bring a bike. Bringing your vehicle from the mainland to the island is ONLY possible by using LPA, which is a barge (https://www.lpamarine.com/) There are NO car ferries that come to Long Island.

Travel Note
We highly recommend the 1:15PM Ferry on Casco Bay Lines from Portland to Long Island. This is the most cost effective way to get to and from Long Island. If you are not staying on the island the wedding night, please review the 2025 schedule for your return ferry to Portland. The departure times are very limited and the latest boat leaves the island at 10:40PM. Keep in mind, if you miss the 1:15 ferry to the island you will miss the ceremony as there isn't another ferry until 3pm.
Travel Note
Fogg's Water Taxi is the quickest way to arrive/depart Long island and flexible on timing, BUT it is more expensive than the ferry. It is worth calling ASAP to book your taxi because they fill up the closer we get to summer. The taxi takes up to 6 people at a flat rate. Good to call some friends and share!

This airport is located in Portland, Maine, and is the closest airport to Long Island. We highly suggest flying into Portland, but it will most likely be more expensive than flying into Boston.

Logan Airport is located in Boston, which is most likely the most cost effective option if flying. You will need to get to Portland, Maine, after flying in, which is a 1.5-2 HOUR drive, bus ride, train ride, uber.
