Flight
Sicily is the largest island in the Mediterranean and has two main international airports: Palermo (PMO) in the northwest and Catania (CTA) in the southeast. If you're coming to Sicily just for the wedding events, we recommend flying into Catania, which is the closest airport to Noto. If you’re planning to explore Sicily before the wedding, consider flying into Palermo. From there, you can experience the island’s diverse landscapes and towns as you make your way southeast to Noto over a few days.
Rental Car
You’ll need to rent a car in Sicily, and we strongly recommend adding the rental insurance. Noto is about a 1-hour drive from Catania, mostly along well-marked highways. As long as you have navigation on your phone or in the car, it’s a straightforward drive.
Travel Note
Driving in Sicily can be a bit adventurous... expect narrow, winding roads and the occasional spirited local driver. Stay alert, take your time, and remember: the far-left lane is for passing only. When in doubt, keep to the right and enjoy the scenery (safely).
House Or Rental
Below you'll find hotel recommendations spanning a range of styles and price points. We highly recommend considering the beautiful Gagliardi Boutique Hotel, where we'll be hosting our welcome party the evening before the wedding. We also encourage you to explore short-term rentals on Airbnb and similar sites. There are some truly stunning options in and around around Noto, often at very reasonable rates.
