Option 1: Complimentary Garage Parking St. Mary Cathedral offers free parking in the Capitol Tower Parking Garage, located just south of the Cathedral on the same block at 206 E 9th St (entrance on San Jacinto Blvd). Access the Cathedral through the Donohue Center Gym on Elevator Floor 2. ***Important: Please validate your parking ticket upon arrival at the kiosk outside the elevator bank in the Donohue Center Gym to avoid any issues when leaving. Ticket validation will last through midnight of the same day*** Option 2: Metered Street Parking Metered parking is available on the streets surrounding the Cathedral.
The Driskill is a 5-minute walk (0.3 miles) from St. Mary Cathedral. Option 1: Leave Your Car at the Capitol Garage You are welcome to leave your vehicle in the Capitol Garage and walk to the reception. If you plan to return to the garage after hours, the Donohue Center will be closed, so you must re-enter the garage via the car entrance on San Jacinto Blvd. **Reminder that validated tickets last through midnight** Option 2: Valet at The Driskill ONLY Valet parking is available at The Driskill Hotel: • $30 for day & overnight parking for all wedding guests • Mention to Driskill Valet that you attending to the reception to secure discounted rate
1. Explore Downtown Austin & Congress Avenue Take advantage of the break to explore the heart of downtown! Congress Avenue is full of great spots to grab a snack, sip a cocktail, or enjoy some Austin culture. (See "Things To Do" tab) 2. Relax in The Driskill Hotel Lobby Starting at 2:00 PM, The Driskill’s historic lobby becomes a charming bar and café. With cozy couches, cool air, and classic ambiance, it’s a perfect place to unwind, enjoy a drink, and escape the afternoon heat. 3) Private Tour of the Driskill (RSVP Required) For those who RSVPd for the private tour, it will begin at 3:30 PM and end just before the reception starts at 4:30 PM. Due to limited capacity, we kindly ask that only those with confirmed RSVP spots join the tour. 4) Early Hotel Check-In (Driskill Guests) If you're staying at The Driskill the night of the wedding, we have requested early check-in at 3:00 PM for our guests. While not guaranteed, the hotel will do its best to accommodate. This is a great time to freshen up before the festivities begin!
