Brooklyn Bridge Park
The beautiful park adjacent to our venue, with amazing views of Lower Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty. Plenty of things for kids to do, too!
Tenement Museum
The Met, MoMA, Natural History Museum, Guggenheim, etc. are of course worth a visit, but this is our favorite little museum, where you can see how the early inhabitants of our neighborhood lived. Book guided tours in advance. Also has an awesome gift shop for New York souvenirs.
Partybus Bakeshop
Yes, this is Kylie’s place of work, but we’d recommend it regardless! Pastries, pie, cookies, bread, pizza, sandwiches, salads, coffee, tea... it has it all and it’s oh so good.
Juliana's
... or Grimaldi's, or L&B Spumoni Gardens (under construction), because Old Fulton Street (just down the road from the 1 Hotel) has become an epicenter of some of New York's best pizza (and therefore some of the world's best pizza). You may have to wait in line, but it's worth it!
Essex Market
Indoor food market down the street from us on the Lower East Side, including one of our favorite restaurants (Shopsin's), great beer (Top Hops), our go-to Mexican (Puebla), and creative ice cream (Chinatown Ice Cream Factory).
Golden Diner
A diner that's a little upscale and a little Asian-infused. The breakfast burrito, the honey butter pancakes, and the french fries are our personal favorites but nothing on this menu could disappoint (you don't earn a James Beard mention for nothing).

Our favorite Italian restaurant in the city.
Time Out Market New York
Tons of NYC's top food vendors, all under one roof, and close to our venue.
Boqueria
Spanish tapas restaurant that never ever disappoints. This SoHo outlet is our favorite location but it's also in Flatiron, Midtown, and the Upper East Side.
Cafe Katja
Amazing Austrian food on the Lower East Side.
Randolph Beer DUMBO
Beer + food + games, near our venue.
Kiki's
Delicious Greek restaurant on our old block.
Mr. Taka
There's a lot of knockout ramen options in the neighborhood (Nakamura and Ivan Ramen deserve shoutouts, too), but this has the prestigious title of being our favorite.
Eastwood
Our favorite neighborhood bar, with great food, too.
The Dancer
An offshoot of Eastwood that serves up cocktails.
Attaboy
One of the best cocktail bars in the whole country. Tell them what you like and they'll whip up something just for you. Awesome service, too!
