See below for notable places near our venue, as well as (a whole lot of) our favorite restaurants and bars near our home on the Lower East Side - there's so much to choose from, it's tough to narrow down to just a couple of favorites! We don't have the big must-see NYC sights on here, but instead just a list of personal faves in the downtown Brooklyn/Lower East Side area. Happy to give advice on the big attractions too - just ask!
Brooklyn Bridge Park

Brooklyn Bridge Park

334 Furman Street, Brooklyn Heights, NY 11201
, (718) 222-9939

The beautiful park adjacent to our venue, with amazing views of Lower Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty. Plenty of things for kids to do, too!

Tenement Museum

Tenement Museum

103 Orchard Street, New York, NY 10002
, (877) 975-3786

The Met, MoMA, Natural History Museum, Guggenheim, etc. are of course worth a visit, but this is our favorite little museum, where you can see how the early inhabitants of our neighborhood lived. Book guided tours in advance. Also has an awesome gift shop for New York souvenirs.

Partybus Bakeshop

Partybus Bakeshop

31 Essex Street, New York, NY 10002
, (917) 262-0732

Yes, this is Kylie’s place of work, but we’d recommend it regardless! Pastries, pie, cookies, bread, pizza, sandwiches, salads, coffee, tea... it has it all and it’s oh so good.

Juliana's

Juliana's

19 Old Fulton Street, Brooklyn Heights, NY 11201
, (718) 596-6700

... or Grimaldi's, or L&B Spumoni Gardens (under construction), because Old Fulton Street (just down the road from the 1 Hotel) has become an epicenter of some of New York's best pizza (and therefore some of the world's best pizza). You may have to wait in line, but it's worth it!

Essex Market

Essex Market

88 Essex Street, New York, NY 10002
, (917) 881-7096

Indoor food market down the street from us on the Lower East Side, including one of our favorite restaurants (Shopsin's), great beer (Top Hops), our go-to Mexican (Puebla), and creative ice cream (Chinatown Ice Cream Factory).

Golden Diner

Golden Diner

123 Madison Street, New York, NY 10002
, (917) 472-7800

A diner that's a little upscale and a little Asian-infused. The breakfast burrito, the honey butter pancakes, and the french fries are our personal favorites but nothing on this menu could disappoint (you don't earn a James Beard mention for nothing).

Supper

Supper

156 East 2nd Street, New York, NY 10009
, (212) 477-7600

Our favorite Italian restaurant in the city.

Time Out Market New York

Time Out Market New York

55 Water Street, Dumbo, NY 11201
, (917) 810-4855

Tons of NYC's top food vendors, all under one roof, and close to our venue.

Boqueria

Boqueria

171 Spring Street, New York, NY 10012
, (212) 343-4255

Spanish tapas restaurant that never ever disappoints. This SoHo outlet is our favorite location but it's also in Flatiron, Midtown, and the Upper East Side.

Cafe Katja

Cafe Katja

79 Orchard Street, New York, NY 10002
, (212) 219-9545

Amazing Austrian food on the Lower East Side.

Randolph Beer DUMBO

Randolph Beer DUMBO

82 Prospect Street, Downtown Brooklyn, NY 11201
, (646) 383-3623

Beer + food + games, near our venue.

Kiki's

Kiki's

130 Division Street, New York, NY 10002
, (646) 882-7052

Delicious Greek restaurant on our old block.

Mr. Taka

Mr. Taka

170 Allen Street, New York, NY 10002
, (212) 254-1508

There's a lot of knockout ramen options in the neighborhood (Nakamura and Ivan Ramen deserve shoutouts, too), but this has the prestigious title of being our favorite.

Eastwood

Eastwood

200 Clinton Street, New York, NY 10002
, (212) 233-0124

Our favorite neighborhood bar, with great food, too.

The Dancer

The Dancer

202 Clinton Street, New York, NY 10002
, (646) 876-1174

An offshoot of Eastwood that serves up cocktails.

Attaboy

Attaboy

134 Eldridge Street, New York, NY 10002

One of the best cocktail bars in the whole country. Tell them what you like and they'll whip up something just for you. Awesome service, too!

For all the days along the way
