Robert and I met working at Chik-fil-A. He worked up front, but I worked in the kitchen, so we never really interacted. After a few months of working, he was transferred into the kitchen, and every day, he somehow managed to get on my nerves in a different way. Despite working together, we still never really interacted. Not until we were put right next to each other. During that shift, I was in a particularly good mood and I just started rambling about stuff that I was into at that time. Random shows, music, movies; whatever I thought of really. During a rare moment when I wasn't talking, he told me that he could probably guess who my favorite characters in the shows I had mentioned were, only based off of my personality. And he got all of them right, which completely surprised me. I was really happy, and I felt special because he had sat there and listened to me talk about things he probably didn't care too much for. So over the next few weeks or so, I started talking to him more, and always trying to work next to him so that we could talk. And one day, I heard one of his friends asking him about a game night they were having that week. I thought the best way to become better friends with Robert and get myself into his life is to pretend to be interested in this game so that I would have an excuse to hangout with him. He was happy to help me get started in the game and was showing me how to make a character for it, but the entire time I just kept talking. And the best thing was, is that he didn't mind. He actually liked me talking for nearly 4 hours straight. After that, we had a fun night playing cards. It was me, Robert, and then four of our friends. We had so much fun hanging out all together, so we planned a movie night slumber party for the next day. We had all kinds of snacks and candy, and stayed up all night watching a bunch of Disney movies. When I was leaving the next day, he kind of waited for our friends to leave, and then asked if I would possibly want to hang out more, maybe get dinner some time. I, obviously, was elated. I knew that I would be marrying him before we even went on our first date. Robert has loved me through all of my mood swings, my problems, and every change I have gone through whether it is physically or mentally. He gets along great with my family, and I love his just as much. I thank God every day that I am able to have such a wonderful man, who will soon be my husband. The both of us look forward to our future together, and are excited to experience each new day as it comes.
