We were set up to say the least. Family members took advantage of our shared love of his nephews and got us to meet at a bowling outing one day in June 2022. Two days after our initial meeting we decided to go out on a date to lunch and then Top Golf. The laughter that day never stopped, mostly because he lost twenty-something to eighty-something, but the connection was there. We had an undeniable spark and never stopped talking since that day.

A few days after our one year anniversary we found ourselves at one of our favorite spots, Oglebay park in Wheeling, West Virginia. It was the middle of July and all the flowers had bloomed and the weather was beautiful as we walked around a secluded reflecting pool. We were completely by ourselves as he got down on knee and proposed. He barely got to say the words "will you marry me" before a "yes" was said and we were officially engaged.
