Long before we ever met, our parents were already part of each other’s lives. Years ago, our parents became close friends while navigating the early chapters of building their families, which lead to taking annual vacations together. In 2000, Dina and Kevin adopted Jack. The very next year, Patti and Steve welcomed Steph. The family vacations continued for years, filled with wonderful memories and tons of laughs, until the kids grew older and busy schedules put the tradition on pause. In 2014, the vacations finally made their comeback—and just in time for Steph to notice that Jack was much cuter than she remembered. That trip felt a little different, though neither of us quite knew why yet. The next year, the flirting picked up, and on October 10th 2016, Steph finally made her move and kissed Jack—turning years of shared history into the beginning of our forever.
