Food Tour in Callicoon
For those looking to eat their way through the town, nearby Callicoon is a great place to explore. Here are some of our favorites spots... - Black Walnut - This is our favorite speakeasy in the Catskills and it holds a very special place in our hearts. Creative cocktails and incredible shopping. Greg's favorite cocktail is the "Black Walnut", give it a try and let us know if you like it! - Callicoon Wine Merchant - Always a crowd pleaser. Tasty tapas and delicious wines. Plan to order everything on the menu! - Spruce - A hidden gem full of beautifully curated home goods and food items, rich cheeses and tasty coffee. We always end up coming out of there with a thing or two...or three. - Western Inn - Great place for outdoor drinks and bites in the heart of town - Creek House Grill - New restaurant in town with an expansive lunch and dinner menu Walk up and down the main street and pop into some cool specialty shops or find some unique antique goods...
GOLF: Roscoe Mountain Club 18-hole
Plan to reserve a tee time in advance. RMC offers a more remote, scenic, and challenging 18-hole mountain layout focusing on nature. There are also many pickleball courts if you want to take a different kind of swing. Please call them for court time.
GOLF: Villa Roma 9-hole
Features a 9-hole regulation course (often played twice for 18) attached to a full-service resort, known for scenic, well-maintained, and sometimes challenging play. Foresight Falcon golf simulator in the 19th hole sports bar. Requires Tee time reservations
Brewery Hop and stops in Livingston Manor
If you're a fan of craft beer, we would HIGHLY recommend taking a short drive into Livingston Manor to brewery hop and explore the town. Some of our favorite sips and stops are: - Upward Brewery - Pitchers of beer, yummy food, gorgeous views, and great ambiance. Take a short hike up "Beer Mountain" next to the brewery. - Catskill Brewery - For true craft beer, this is a must. Get a flight so you can try it all! Which one will be your favorite? - Kaatskeller - Sit out under the cafe lights or by the firepit, this authentic brick oven pizza spot is sure to please. Their cocktails are also fun. - The Smoke Joint - If you love mouth watering BBQ, this cute spot ticks the box. Try their brisket, pulled pork, and ribs or try their crispy chicken sandwich. - Sunshine Colony - cute wine bar with outdoor bites and live music. Lots of shops in between...Main Street Farm for local munchies, funky gifts at Drooz, home items at Homestead and Nest, outdoor store "Old Souls".
Tusten Mountain Trail Hike & The Scenic Town of Narrowsburg
Check out Tusten Mountain Trail for some scenic hiking (moderate 3-mile loop) After your hike, there are some great shops right in Narrowsburg along the scenic Delaware River. - The Laundrette - Inventive cocktails and mouth watering food right on river. Their hangover soup thankfully delivers results and tastes amazing! - Big Eddy Brewing Co - Craft beer and BBQ - The Heron - Taste the most amazing fried chicken sandwich - The Cigogne - cocktails in a glass bar overlooking the river. It’s below the Iris coffee shops in town - The River Gallery - Beautifully curated art shop and gallery. Check out other antique shops on Main Street
Fly Fishing: Beaverkill Angler
Known as one of the best fly fishing areas in the country, you can fish on your own (fishing license required), book a lesson, rent equipment or hire a guide. Roscoe is nicknamed "Trout Town" for a reason. Check out the many equipment stores and cute boutiques in this quaint town. - Do Good Spirits - distillery in an old fire house with award winning spirits. Free tastings and outdoor seating with bites and live music. - The Junction - a perfect late afternoon stop. Make sure to order the Acid Factory cocktail, Boa Buns, or award winning hot honey fried chicken sandwich!
