Question

What are our travel plans?

Answer

We will be in Manuel Antonio for the week of April 26th - May 3rd. We hope all of our guests that are coming to celebrate our wedding are able to take full advantage of their trip to Costa Rica and make it an amazing vacation! You could stay for the entire or partial week in Manuel Antonio, enjoying the beach, pool, and tours/activities, or if you'd like to travel around the country, there are many other incredible areas of Costa Rica to see.

Question

Where is everybody staying?

Answer

To make the most of everyone's time in Manuel Antonio, we've reserved four beautiful villas for the week of April 26th to May 3rd to accommodate our guests. For those who choose to stay for the full week in one of these villas, we are asking for a contribution of $600 per person to help cover a portion of the cost. Once you RSVP, we will add your name to one of the villas listed below based on family or friend group. If you prefer to make other arrangements, we have a few hotel recommendations also listed below. Please text Jacquie at 405-361-8991 or Dustin at 214-789-9694 to let us know if you choose to stay at a hotel. Details about the villas, including check-in/check-out times and other important information, will be shared closer to the wedding date. - Saltwater Haven - Casa Dos Vistas - Casa Magnifica - Casa Vista Azul Local Hotel Recommendations: La Mariposa Hotel, Parador Resort and Spa, & The Falls Resort

Question

How do we make the payment toward villa accommodations?

Answer

The $600 payment can be sent via Venmo to @Jacqueline-Godbout or via Zelle to jacquieogodbout@gmail.com. If you prefer another method of payment or need assistance, please let us know.

Question

Where is the wedding taking place?

Answer

Our wedding will take place at the Villa Punto de Vista in Manuel Antonio. It is perched high on the hillside with endless views of the Pacific Ocean. After the ceremony, we'll enjoy sunset cocktails, a chef prepared dinner, and dancing all night long!

Question

How do we get to the venue?

Answer

Transportation to the wedding departs from each villa at 3:00pm on Thursday, May 1st.

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and dinner are covered but open-air. Dancing will be indoors and air-conditioned.

Question

What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

The dress code for the wedding, even though it's not directly on the beach, is beach formal or cocktail. For this special occasion, think elegant yet breezy, keeping in mind the warm tropical location! For women, lightweight cocktail dresses or flowy, midi or maxi length dresses in fabrics like chiffon or silk would be perfect to help keep you cool! For men, a suit or jacket and pants in lightweight fabrics like linen or cotton will be ideal for keeping you cool and comfortable! Colors like beige, light grey, or pastels are great options for this as well.

Question

What should I wear to the rehearsal dinner?

Answer

The rehearsal dinner will be more casual than the wedding, but again, think elegant and breezy! Ladies, a nice sundress or cocktail dress in linen, cotton, or silk would be perfect for the rehearsal dinner! A beachy skirt, pants, or jumpsuit are also great options. For the men, a nice shirt and pants in light, breathable fabrics like cotton or linen will help keep you cool and comfortable.

Question

How do we book transport, tours, & activities?

Answer

A concierge is available for each accommodation option to assist with booking transport, tours, and activities. Please contact them at the email listed below and mention you are in the Godbout/Perry group to make these arrangements. - Saltwater Haven Concierge: Valerie von Haunalter - concierge@villascostarica.com - Casa Dos Vistas Concierge: Valerie von Haunalter - concierge@villascostarica.com - Casa Magnifica Concierge: Valerie von Haunalter - concierge@villascostarica.com - Casa Vista Azul Concierge: Valerie von Haunalter - concierge@villascostarica.com - Concierge for anyone staying at a local hotel: Jessica - concierge@Villatortugacostarica.com

Question

How do we get around town during the week?

Answer

If you'd like to rent a car for your stay, contact your concierge for help making that reservation. They can also help you call the local Red Taxis, give you info on how to take the local buses, and how to get to the main bus station in Quepos, the larger town just minutes outside Manuel Antonio.

Question

Are there good restaurants in town?

Answer

Yes! There are lots of restaurants in town that offer breathtaking views, fresh-caught seafood, and local Costa Rican cuisine. We loved having a casual sunset dinner at the outdoor Rafael's Terrazas while listening to all the howler monkeys in the tree above! And Jolly Rogers has some of the best chicken wings we've ever had! Below are some other recommendations. Breakfast: Milagros, Emilios, & Karolas Lunch: Agua Azul, Felafel Bar, & Runaway Grill Dinner: Rafael's Terrazas, Jolly Rogers, & Gabriellas Drinks: Hotel Mariposa, Double Hook Sports Bar, & El Avion Dessert: Amorosi Gelato & Emilios

Question

Using American Dollars & Exchanging Money

Answer

Most places in Manuel Antonio take American dollars, but they only accept bills that have not been torn. If you would like to exchange for Costa Rican Colones, you can do so at banks, but avoid airport kiosks; they have the worst exchange rates!
