Kelsey & Shawn's love story started on the dating app "OK Cupid" in December 2015. Kelsey actually made the first move and messaged Shawn first, however, Shawn never answered Kelsey. So Kelsey being the bold person she is, she messaged him again. Thank goodness he answered. Phew. After many pushed back dates (because Kelsey was nervous), Kelsey finally agreed to meet Shawn on a Sunday in January 2016 at Iron Hill in West Chester. Shawn and Kelsey's first date consisted of Shawn teasing the waiter for his name being "Sean John" and talking about turkeys with no heads.... YUP, thats how he reeled Kelsey in. Their first kiss was that night in the romantic West Chester car garage after walking Kelsey to her car (what a gentleman). Later on, Kelsey and Shawn went on A TON more dates and made their relationship [Facebook official] after meeting Shawn's parents on February 29, 2016. Throughout these past 5 years, Their relationship together is filled with amazing adventures for Kelsey and Shawn some of those adventures are Breweries, Zoos, exploring creepy abandon buildings, fishing, trying new restaurants, interesting museums, bakeries and much more!

The beginning of 2020 was a whirlwind but that did stop Kelsey and Shawn to venture out on an adventure. Kelsey didn't know what Shawn had planned on August 29th, 2020 but she quickly figured out they were headed up north to Ithaca, New York! They start their adventure at the Corning Museum of Glass where they saw interesting glass sculptures and learned about glass blowing. Then they went to eat lunch at Ithaca brewery which was amazing and took a drive around Cornell University to see the waterfalls and stopped at a bakery to indulge in some sweets! Shawn then told Kelsey there was one last stop he wants to go so they drive and drive (literally in the middle of no where) and they finally got to World’s End State Park. Shawn originally planned to take Kelsey up to an overlook to watch the sunset but of course the main road to the top was closed. After driving around they eventually saw a nice quiet bench overlooking the river and watch the sunset! They sat on a bench, listened to the river, watched the sunset and talked about how fun their adventure was that day! Then Shawn started to say “This may be the end of THIS adventure”, he then got up and got down on one knee and pulled out a ring (all while Kelsey was freaking out, of course) “...but we will have so many more adventures in the future, will you marry me?” OF COURSE Kelsey said Yes (after being completely shocked) That was one of the best days of Shawn and Kelsey's lives that they will for sure remember forever!
