What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Think cocktail dresses or a suit and tie or a sports coat.

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

You can expect the temperature to be about 50 degrees F, so we advise you bring a jacket or warm layers.

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception are located at Lanier Islands Resort. The address is 7000 Lanier Islands Parkway, Buford, GA 30518. The ceremony will be located at Oliver Point and the cocktail hour / reception will be located at the Veranda Room.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be outdoors, the cocktail hour will be outdoors, and the reception will be indoors.

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the wedding party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Guests can head straight to the Veranda Room, where we will be serving finger foods and beverages during a cocktail hour.

Am I invited to the rehearsal dinner?

Answer

Due to the space limitations of our venue, we unfortunately have to limit the rehearsal dinner guest list to those who will be playing a role in the ceremony. We apologize in advance to those who are not included.

How do I get to the wedding venue?

Answer

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Help us get the party started as scheduled! We recommend that you arrive an hour before the start of the ceremony to make sure everyone is seated on time.

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

Parking is free for weddings guests. When you arrive to the venue, there will be signs pointing you to the right direct for parking.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Unfortunately, we have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our celebration is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your wedding invitation or in the RSVP section of the website.

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

Yes, we have a hotel block for guests at Lanier Islands Resort. We recommend staying here for the best experience for a fun-filled weekend. If you are having issues booking at the group rate please call or text Jillian or Reginald.

Will there be food and drinks during cocktail hour?

Answer

After the wedding ceremony, we will be serving light passed hors d’oeuvres accompanied by beverages.

Will dinner be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Answer

We will be serving a full sit-down meal at the reception. We will be serving Italian food. Reginald and Jillian both enjoy a meat free diet and have chosen to have a fully vegan wedding. All food and drinks served at our wedding will be 100% vegan. Reginald and Jillian have also chosen to have an alcohol-free wedding.

Answer

We are so thankful you will be joining us for this celebration of our love. While gifts are not expected, we have registered for a few items we need for our newlywed home. Will transportation be provided between the to and from the hotel, ceremony and reception?

Answer

Transportation will not be provided to the resort if you have booked accommodations off the resort. If staying on the resort, and once you arrive at the resort, transportation will be provided to the ceremony location and reception location.
