Shawana and Perry met 11 years ago at the Great Skate Roller Rink in Glendale, Arizona. Shawana is a smooth rhythm slow skater and Perry is an avid fast skater. After skating with Shawana in a circle for over 10 years at the skating rink and asking God for his wife, God finally gave Perry the answer one night during a slow song. Shawana and Perry began seriously dating in June of 2023 after Perry confessed his love for her. Perry invited Shawana to his church as a date and shortly after she became a member. Shawana is a part of the Women's Ministry and Perry is an Usher with the Men of Presence at First Institutional Baptist Church. Perry proposed to Shawana on May 18, 2024 at The Compass Grill Downtown Phoenix Hyatt Regency. They enjoy roller skating together, going to church together, traveling together, and spending time with family together. Shawana is a Lead Medical Technologist at a hospital. Perry is a 5th grade science teacher and a proud member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. They are very excited for you to be a part of their special day in Phoenix, Arizona.
