When should I RSVP by?

Please be sure to RSVP through our website by the end of April 2025. We can't wait to celebrate with you!

Where should I stay?
Answer
There are a couple cute motels on the island and there are hotels just 15 minutes from the island in Southport. There are also some rentals to check out, including condos very close to the wedding venue located at Oak Island Villas! Please see the "Travel" page for recommendations.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
Answer
Please arrive to Oak Island Golf Club at 4:30. Park and walk across to the beach.

How should I get there?
Answer
If you are driving, there is plenty of parking at the venue. If not driving, there are a couple Uber drivers and taxi drivers on the island (best to book in advance). If you stay at the Oak Island Villas, you can walk!

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?
Answer
If you are driving, there is plenty of parking at the Oak Island Gold Club. The ceremony will be held on the beach directly in front of the club where the reception will be.

What should I wear?
Answer
We want you all to be comfortable and confident in what you wear! For the beach ceremony, kick off your shoes. Suggestions: Ladies... Anything floral, bright or pastel colors, short or long, sets, dresses, skirts... Check out the Abercrombie Wedding Shop! All of their dresses are so cute and fun! Gentlemen... Anything in a lighter hue or nautical! Collared shirt and pants preferred. No need to wear suits or jackets. It will be late May at the beach, so we don't want you sweaty or uncomfortable.

Are kids welcome?

Unless specifically invited, please leave your little ones at home, for this will be an adult only affair. Thank you for your understanding!

Will there be an open bar?
Answer
Yes! Drinks are on us and the hangover is on you! Get ready to party!! We encourage you to not drive yourself if you plan on drinking with us. If you stay at a condo at Oak Island Villas, you can walk to the venue and stumble home! More information can be found on the "Travel" page.

When will we eat?
Answer
Don't worry, you won't go hungry! While we will not have a sit down dinner, there will be plenty of food options at different stations with small plates, so you will have a taste of all of our favorites!

Can I take photos during the ceremony?
Answer
While we love that you want to capture our special day, we kindly request that there are no phones out during the ceremony to allow everyone to be fully present. We will have our photographer capturing all the highlights and will share them with you afterwards. Thank you!
