We’re getting married!

If you asked Perry this on the way to their first date, he would tell you they met at Cara’s work. If you asked Cara, she would inform you they went to high school AND middle school together and has known of Perry since. Their paths never crossed until much later where they connected and decided to go on a first date while “kissing was illegal” (Perry’s phrase) during the pandemic.

While touring Italy last fall, Perry and Cara signed up for a one of a kind cooking experience in Tuscany. Cara knew what this class entailed, so she was not surprised when the family who hosts the class offered the grounds tour- It had been a gloomy day and the sun finally popped out! At the end of the tour, overlooking the vast Chianti hills, Perry got down on one knee while Cara was not looking. He didn’t wait for her to turn before speaking, so when she turned around to find him bawling on the ground she was very confused! Once the words finally hit her and she realized what was happening, she said “yes!”
