Nadia and Perrin first met during campus orientation their freshman year at Biola University. They lived in the same dormitory, Blackstone, just on different floors. After a few failed hang‑out attempts on both sides, Perrin lingered at the table on her floor, hoping to catch her and ask if she wanted to do homework and spend time together. He succeeded—and that day quickly became one of their happiest early memories, because it made them want to spend more time together and get to know one another on so many levels right away. Nadia, thrilled with how the day had unfolded, sent her childhood best friend, Riley, long, detailed video messages about “the cute tall blonde boy from my dormitory.” But when she went to message Perrin afterward, she realized she had made a grave error: she had sent all the videos—every detail about their day, how much she liked this “cute tall blonde boy,” and how she thought he might like her too—directly to Perrin. Perrin, sitting in a buddy’s room when the notifications came through, initially assumed they were about the next day’s church outing and held the phone to his ear. As he listened, he quickly realized this was no ordinary message—and that it definitely wasn’t meant for him—as the video laid out all the reasons Nadia liked him. After panicking and considering the thought of transferring schools, Nadia was surprised when Perrin had an unexpectedly calm response and assured her everything was fine. Still unsure what “fine” meant, and worried the whole situation would make things painfully awkward at church the next morning, she asked to meet on the stairwell to talk through the contents of the now‑infamous accidental romantic confession. That accidental video pushed them to be honest about their interest in each other, and they decided to talk more, spend time together, and see where things might lead. After a couple of months filled with group hangouts, long walks, deep conversations, and a lot of prayer, they saw how naturally a relationship fit into the rhythms of their new college lives. They officially became boyfriend and girlfriend on October 22, 2022 As they dated, they navigated seasons of long distance—Perrin being from Tennessee and Nadia from California. During their sophomore year, they both became Resident Advisors in Blackstone, becoming leaders in the very building where they fell in love. They worked side by side in this role for three years. That coworker dynamic taught them how to “wear different hats” around each other: romantic partners when it was just the two of them, team‑oriented coworkers on the clock, and friendship‑focused “bros” when spending time with others. But more than that, it showed them how naturally they could step into whatever role the other needed—steady support, honest teammate, gentle encourager, or joyful companion. They learned they could depend on each other in every season and setting, and they were intentional about ensuring their relationship never held them back from growing in every other area of life. Nadia and Perrin discovered how similar they were at their core, and how beautifully their contrasting strengths complemented one another, forming a powerful team. Through growth and faith, they found a partnership neither could imagine living without. After much prayer, Perrin asked Nadia to marry him at Thousand Steps Beach in Laguna, CA on August 11, 2025. The two will enter holy matrimony and become husband and wife on May 26, 2026.
