We're Getting Married!

It all began on February 28, 2020, in Goodyear, Arizona. Ashley, a dedicated special education teacher, and Allan, an Air Force serviceman working on F-16 fighter jets at Luke AFB, met on Hinge. Little did they know, this simple match would lead to a lifetime of love and adventure. Their first date was over brunch, where Ashley quickly learned two important things about Allan: his strong dislike for sweet potatoes and their shared love for coffee and breakfast food. Conversation flowed effortlessly, and what started as a simple meal turned into the beginning of something special. A week later, on March 7, 2020, their connection deepened when Allan saw Ashley compete in a CrossFit competition. Her determination and strength impressed him, and it was then he knew—this was someone truly special. That day, they officially began their journey together. Then, the world changed. The pandemic struck, bringing uncertainty and isolation. But instead of growing apart, Ashley and Allan grew even closer. While Ashley adapted to teaching her students online, Allan continued his work on fighter jets. They quarantined together, finding joy in the little things—cooking meals, playing games, and supporting each other through the challenges of an unpredictable time. It was in those quiet, unguarded moments that they realized they had found something rare and beautiful: true love. One day, Allan received word of a new assignment—one that would require him to be away for five months and ultimately relocate. He turned to Ashley with a grin and asked, “Wanna take an adventure together?” Without hesitation, she smiled and said, “Let’s do it!” And so, in 2021, they packed up their lives and moved to Missouri, where Allan was stationed at Whiteman AFB and Ashley continued her passion for special education. Through the years, their love flourished. Their days were filled with adventure—hiking scenic trails, cooking new recipes, gaming together, and creating cherished memories at various events. Then, on a beautiful sunny day in November 2024, Allan planned a hike with Ashley and their beloved dog, Duke. As they made their way through the trail, they came upon a bench overlooking a breathtaking lake. The moment was perfect. Allan turned to Ashley, took a deep breath, and got down on one knee. With the biggest smile, he asked her to be his forever. Without hesitation, Ashley said, “YES!” And from that moment on, their love story—built on adventure, laughter, and unwavering devotion—continued, with a lifetime of beautiful moments yet to come.
