The Story of how we met begins over 2 years ago. I decided to try the dating app Mutual and after several terrible experiences I was about to cancel the subscription, that is until I received a simple message with one word “Hi”. Who would have thought that something so simple would lead us to where we are now? Once I realized this beautiful woman was in Mexico, I had doubts on the logistics of our relationship. I decided to pray about whether I should continue pursuing Perla. I was enjoying our talks, and our time together over video chat, yet I had doubts and couldn’t see us moving forward together because of the distance between us. As I prayed, I received a strong prompting that I should continue pursuing Perla. Unbeknownst to me, around the same time Perla had also received an answer from the Lord regarding our relationship, so we both became more serious, and we began to video chat, message, and read our scriptures every day and night together. So, in the summer of 2021 we made plans to meet each other to confirm our feelings. I flew down to Mexico with a lot of hope and an engagement ring in hand (Just in case). I met Perla for the first time at her work, and when I saw her my heart leapt out of my chest, and she quickly embraced me with a big hug. With our feelings for each other now confirmed, A couple of days later I asked Perla to marry me, and thankfully she said “yes”. From there we began the process for a Fiancé Visa, and what we thought would be a nine-month process ended up becoming a two-year adventure. Luckily, I was blessed to be able to visit her almost every other month and we continued to make time for each other every day and kept the Lord centered in our life. Now that her Visa is taken care of, we are both excited to start our next adventure, together. La historia de cómo nos conocimos comienza hace más de 2 años. Decidí probar la aplicación de citas Mutual y después de varias experiencias terribles estuve a punto de cancelar la suscripción, hasta que recibí un mensaje con una sola palabra; "Hola". ¿Quién hubiera pensado que algo tan simple nos llevaría a donde estamos ahora? Una vez que me di cuenta de que esta hermosa mujer estaba en México, tuve dudas sobre buscar tener una relación. Decidí orar para saber si debía seguir hablando con Perla. Estaba disfrutando de nuestras charlas y nuestro tiempo juntos por videollamada, pero tenía dudas y no podía vernos avanzar juntos debido a la distancia entre nosotros. Mientras oraba, recibí una fuerte impresión de que debía seguir buscando a Perla. Sin que yo lo supiera, casi al mismo tiempo, Perla también había recibido una respuesta del Señor con respecto a nuestra relación, por lo que ambos nos pusimos más serios y comenzamos a chatear por video, enviar mensajes y leer nuestras Escrituras todos los días y todas las noches juntos. Entonces, en el verano de 2021 hicimos planes para encontrarnos para confirmar nuestros sentimientos. Volé a México con muchas esperanzas y un anillo de compromiso en la mano (por si acaso). Conocí a Perla por primera vez en su trabajo, y cuando la vi se me salió el corazón del pecho, y rápidamente me recibió con un fuerte abrazo. Con sentimientos mutuos ahora confirmados, un par de días después le pedí a Perla que se casara conmigo, y afortunadamente ella dijo "sí". A partir de ahí comenzamos el proceso para una Visa de Prometido, y lo que pensábamos que sería un proceso de nueve meses terminó convirtiéndose en una aventura de dos años. Afortunadamente, tuve la bendición de poder visitarla casi cada dos meses y continuamos haciendo tiempo para estar juntos todos los días y mantuvimos al Señor centrado en nuestra vida. Ahora que su Visa ha sido aprobada, ambos estamos emocionados de comenzar nuestra próxima aventura, juntos.
